Why a dual block
The stellate ganglion is a bundle of sympathetic nerves in the neck that helps regulate your stress response. When it stays switched on, the body gets stuck in what is best described as survival mode: the “tired but wired” pattern of sympathetic overdrive.
The Reboot Protocol addresses both sides on two consecutive days. A local anesthetic is placed around the stellate ganglion under real-time ultrasound guidance: the right side on day one, the left side on day two.
Patient reviews
Doing this treatment with Dr Meighen at Reboot was the best decision I've made this year so far! …
As a veteran with multiple deployments … within 72 hours I started to find myself happier, more at ease and almost peaceful.
… post DSGB I have felt way better. My stress levels don't get as high and when I do get stressed I can let ot go so much better. …
The DSGB procedure has helped reset my Adrenals, giving me better sleep and energy.
… I had forgotten what it felt like to be happy, calm or get good sleep. The DSGB brought those things back and I couldn’t be more thankful.
Individual experiences vary.

Dr. Meighen evaluates every patient first, and the protocol is not right for everyone. Reboot Vitality does not provide talk therapy or psychiatry: the protocol is used alongside your therapist or doctor, never instead of them. Start with the conditions we evaluate and treat.

Veterans, active duty service members and first responders can book the same stellate ganglion block: two days, both sides, under ultrasound guidance, performed by Dr. Meighen. Read how we approach PTSD treatment with stellate ganglion block.
The clinic is about 7 miles from MacDill Air Force Base. Reboot Vitality is an independent clinic and is not part of, or endorsed by, the VA.

Two days. Both sides.
A stellate ganglion block is a nerve block from pain medicine, performed by a physician. Dr. Meighen, board-certified in Pain Medicine, places a local anesthetic around the stellate ganglion under real-time ultrasound guidance and performs both sides himself. See how the two-day Reboot Protocol works.
Day one starts here: Dr. Meighen reviews your symptoms, history, medications and stress-load patterns himself.
Day one. Real-time ultrasound guidance is used to place a local anesthetic around the stellate ganglion, to block the sympathetic signal.
Day two, the next day. The same guided injection on the other side of the neck. Treating both sides is what makes it a dual block.
After each injection you rest for 20 to 30 minutes while the team monitors you. Warmth in the face or a feeling of heaviness around the eye are normal responses.
After monitoring you can drive yourself home. If there is any concern about you driving, the staff arrange a driver or transportation.

It is our dual stellate ganglion block (DSGB). Under real-time ultrasound guidance, a local anesthetic is placed around the stellate ganglion, a bundle of sympathetic nerves in the neck: the right side on day one, then the left side on day two.
Day one: your consultation and nervous system evaluation, the right-side injection, then 20 to 30 minutes of monitoring before you go home. Day two: the left-side injection, monitoring again, and home.
Warmth in the face or a feeling of heaviness around the eye are normal responses. The team stays with you for 20 to 30 minutes before you leave.
Ask the team about insurance, including Tricare, before you book.
Executives, first responders, veterans, athletes and anyone whose performance is being worn down by chronic stress. Your consultation and nervous system evaluation decide whether the protocol is right for you.
